Hollyoaks bosses cast Lauren McQueen as Diane O’Connor’s niece Lily
Hollyoaks bosses have cast Liverpudlian actress Lauren McQueen as the sweet and caring niece of Diane O’Connor.
Lily Drinkwell arrives in Hollyoaks after tragically losing her mother. Although she has a very soft nature, Lily is one tough cookie and a little mischievous like her Aunty Diane.
“I was over the moon when I found out I was joining the cast of Hollyoaks. Being from Liverpool I feel so lucky to be working in my home town and being part of such a successful show with cast I’ve looked up to since I was 12. I couldn’t have been cast in a better family!” – Lauren McQueen
In her recent Hollygoss, which can be found on Hollyoaks’ social platforms, Lauren discusses her previous roles in the 4 o’clock club, Ordinary Lies and feature film The Violators.
Lauren has also just featured on screen in the BBC’s 6 wives drama in which she played the role of Henry viii’s fifth wife, Katherine Howard.
Alex Fletcher, who plays Diane, has recently been on maternity leave from the saga. Diane is expected to be back on-screen early next month with Lily in tow.
