Every episode of Boney now streaming
The second and final series of the Australian television classic Boney is now streaming on the Bonaparte Films website, meaning that the entire series is now available to be enjoyed once again.
Boney found a firm following here in the UK, and focused on the outback investigations of the half-caste Aboriginal super sleuth Detective Inspector Napoleon Bonaparte (James Laurenson). In this second series he is assisted by the attractive Constable Alice McGorr (Kate Fitzpatrick). Boney was in a unique position, he was accepted by the full blooded Aboriginal population but could also move freely in white man’s circles. He could utilise his invaluable native tracking skills in order to ensure that no wrongdoer could escape, no matter how far into the Great Southern Land they ran.
In this batch of newly released episodes Boney is faced with a mob of habitual sheep rustlers and the brutal ongoing murders of hardworking stockmen. He has to solve the mystery of why a white man was gunned down and then buried Aboriginal style up a tree, and has to track down a light aircraft carrying a huge sum of cash which has been hijacked. Things become even more baffling when young babies start being abducted by a new tribe based on old traditions, violent bank robbers dressed in Ned Kelly style armour hit town, and a senior American politician is murdered.
Meanwhile a pregnant girl is callously slaughtered in a tropical rain forest, an astrologer who predicted his own demise is murdered, and Boney is branded a black leg labour recruiter whilst investigating a double murder associated with rabble rousing trade unionists on a sheep station. Boney must watch his back, when a half-caste Aboriginal who was impersonating him is killed by a crop duster who deliberately dumps his lethal load on the poor young man.
