Coronation Street’s Capron to offer soap advice

Brian Capron, who played Coronation Street serial killer Richard Hillman, is joining a panel for The Soap Survival Guide, a session looking at how to revive an ailing soap.

Capron will be joined by Emmerdale SoapStars judge Yvon Grace, and Coronation Street producer Kieron Roberts.

Soaps are loved by the British public, but not many last the course, hundreds have come and gone over the years – so what makes a saga work and what can you do when a serial falters?

Some soaps fail to take off with the public, but why? Others are the victim of internal politics and some are lost to viewers due to poor scheduling. Can Capron, Grace and Roberts find the answers?
