Roxanne McKee to depart from Hollyoaks

There’s a web of secrets, lies and revenge as Louise (Roxanne McKee) prepares to leave Hollyoaks with a bang this Christmas, in an explosive climax to what has been one of the soap’s longest running storylines.

Since she arrived in Hollyoaks, Louise’s brusque attitude and determination to succeed have ruffled more than a few feathers in the village. But, beneath her tough exterior, Louise harbours a bitter secret. Having fallen in love with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), the man who murdered her estranged husband Sean Kennedy, Louise must resolve to remain loyal to Warren and keep his secret or face a future without the man she loves.

As Louise excitedly plans her Christmas wedding, her appetite for revenge is fuelled when she discovers, after weeks of suspicion, that Warren is having an affair with her best friend and bridesmaid Mandy (Sarah-Jayne Dunn). On the outside, Louise is the excited bride-to-be but on the inside she is concocting the ultimate master plan. But who is at the top of Louise’s hit list – bad boy Warren or the other woman Mandy?

When Louise acquires a gun it’s clear that she is determined to succeed. But will the plan work or will there be a different outcome entirely?

“I have enjoyed my time at Hollyoaks immensely and I’m going to really miss everyone at Lime Pictures. I have learnt so much and will take away with me many happy memories – not just from everyone I have worked with but from Liverpool as a city too, which has become my second home. I know I will shed a few tears on the day I leave but I am so excited about what the future holds.” – Roxanne McKee

Roxanne McKee won her role in Hollyoaks through the 2004 On the Pull open auditions, beating off an incredible 30,000 other hopefuls. Since then she has had no shortage of big storylines to contend with: She’s had to deal with the death of her violent estranged husband Sean Kennedy, eventually discovering that her fiancé Warren was behind his murder; her engagement to Calvin was short-lived after he discovered she’d had an abortion; and she was one of the suspects in the “Who Pushed Clare” storyline when Clare Cunningham was pushed off the balcony at The Loft.
