Sexy Money and Eli Stone Axed
American broadcaster ABC has announced its axing three of its drama’s due to low ratings. Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies have all been axed with no additionally episodes being ordered. From news on Pushing Daisies axe see separate article.
ABC has decided not to commission additional episodes of Dirty Sex Money or Eli Stone due to low ratings, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Producers on the two drama’s have been informed that there shows have been effectively axed. So far this season Dirty Sex Money has been averaging just over 6.5 million viewers while Eli Stone has had a slightly higher average with 7.8 million viewers.
Although ABC hasn’t actually used the cancelled word to the producers both shows have effectively been cancelled, and production on both will wrap shortly. Dirty Sexy Money will finish after 12 episodes while Eli Stone will finish after 13 episodes. In the UK the first season of Dirty Sex Money was shown on Channel Four.
