In an interview with the breakfast magazine show GMTV Matt Lucas and David Walliams, stars of the BBC sketch show Little Britain, confirmed they’ll be doing a second series of the American version of the show. Speaking to GMTV about Little Britain USA the comedians confirmed that HBO, the American broadcasters of the series, had given the go ahead for another series.
“I think it’s gone well. We’re doing another series for HBO in America next year, which is great… people have responded really well to the show out there, and the viewing figures went up every week. And most of the reviews were great.” Matt Lucas on GMTV
The pair also discussed ratings for the series in America, revealing that they had increased week on week, and denied the series had suffered from poor reviews in America. The pair also denied claims that some of their comedy characters didn’t make the transition to the American series very well.
