BBC backtracks over Strictly

Strictly Come DancingThe BBC is reversing its original decision regarding refunds for viewers who voted in Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing semi-final.

The BBC is backtracking over its decision not to give refunds to views to voted in the Strictly Come Strictly Come DancingDancing semi-final which ended in a three-way tie and dancing couple being voted off. The tie between all three couples resulted in the programme ending ten minutes earlier than planned and forcing the BBC to air trailers for the remaining ten minutes in order to fill the gap. Two hundred people initially complained resulting in the BBC announcing that while no refunds would be given all votes would still be counted, going towards next week’s finale.

However, the BBC has reversed that decision and will now offer refunds to anyone who wishes one as the number of complaints regarding the semi-final is believed to have reached 1,800. Votes cast in the semi-final will still be put towards the Strictly Come Dancing finale but refunds will be offered to anyone who wishes one. Details of how to claim refunds will be given on the Strictly Come Dancing website.
