Ramsay Return for ‘Troubled’ Neighbours

In what appears to be an attempt to take the show back to its high rating days of the 1980s current bosses at the Five aired soap are bringing back one of the original families – in surname only.
Back in the early days the Ramsay and Robinson families were the two big players in Neighbours with classic characters such as Jim Robison, Max Ramsay and their children becoming huge hits with UK audiences.
A long running feud between the Robinsons – who claimed the street should really have been named Robinson Street – was settled (well for a while) when Scott Robinson married Charlene Ramsay and the actors behind the characters became household names; Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
TV Tonight reports that a Fremantle spokesman said: “At the moment (the writers) are looking at doing a family which is Ramsays… …It’s being plotted at the moment. They will be younger, siblings, a new generation of Ramsays.”
The producers won’t be moving in a whole Ramsay family, just the children, who as yet have not been tied to any of the former Ramsay residents.
