George Michael ‘ready’ to Trott

George Michael could be heading to Albert Square with a cameo role in BBC One soap EastEnders.

The 45-year-old Wham! singer has openly been a fan of the show for years.

Insiders at the Elstree Studios have apparently informed the Daily Star that a future storyline will see the character of Heather Trott – a huge George Michael fan – try and track down the singer when he returns to London after a tour. She soon ropes in close close friend Shirley Carter to help with her crazy plan.

“Heather is completely obsessed with George Michael. He is the love of her life.

“Everyone thinks she’s a little crazy – but Shirley knows how much meeting George would mean to her tubby pal. Viewers will see the pair wait outside George’s house for him to come home. – EastEnders insider

However, the BBC has said it is unaware of any such storyline, however didn’t rule out an appearance by the musician if he so desired.

Previously singer Robbie Williams featured briefly in the show as a ‘supporting artist’ – using the payphone in the Queen Vic. It was also reported last year that catwalk model Kate Moss was to play a shabby chav in the capital soap.
