Oddie quits Springwatch
Presenter Bill Oddie has quit BBC Two’s wildlife show, Springwatch, after four years fronting the series, with co-host Kate Humble.
Bill Oddie has quit the BBC Two nature series Springwatch, which airs live, after four series of fronting the nature programme alongside co-host Kate Humble. Springwatch is popular programme for BBC Two attracting good ratings and the next series is due to start in May – Oddie will not be present for this new series. However, the presenter will continue to work with the BBC on other nature programmes.
The search to replace Oddie will now begin with Ben Fogle, Alan Titchmarsh and Simon King amongst those being tipped for the role. It’s believed that co-host Katie Humble will continue in her role with the series.
