Another ITV Heartbeat Stops

Sara Roache, the wife of Corrie veteran William Roache, may have died from a heart attack it has been revealed.

According to the Manchester Evening News, a file is being prepared for the coroner who will then decide is a full inquest is necessary.

A seemingly healthy Mrs Roache died suddenly at her home in Cheshire aged just 58 last Saturday.

Speaking of Roache’s long running role as Ken Barlow in the dreary saga, a source for the street said “There is no pressure on him to come back and we will look at how we progress.”

Former Corrie star Dawn Acton who played Roache’s stepdaughter Tracey in the seemingly never ending series said “My sympathies are with him and the rest of the family.”

She added that she met Sara when she was very young and that she was very friendly.

Roache said he was in a state of shock following his wife’s passing. Condolences from ATV Network to William at this sad time.
