Holby character to return?

According to tabloid rumours an old face is set to return to Holby City in the Spring in a “sensational” storyline.

Tabloid reports claim that actor Peter Wingfield is set to make a reprise his role of Dan Clifford in Holby City in the Spring for a “sensational” storyline but the rumours have yet to be confirmed. Wingfield was a regular in Holby City for just over a year, from August 2006 to October 2007, but returned in March 2008 for an episode. The character originally left the hospital after his affair with his sister-in-law, Louise, had been revealed, Dan left for France. His return in March 2008 was to meet up with Maddy Young, who was in love with him, but in the end Dan decided not to meet her leaving Maddy heartbroken.
