O’Grady Going Nowhere

It seems just like last year, and the year before that, speculation that Paul O’Grady would be quitting his chat show has been made up by some bored newspaper journalist.

Speaking to the studio audience of The Paul O’Grady Show on Tuesday he confirmed that he had no plans to quit Channel 4 or the programme in the near future. Rumors he would leave were circulated in the press last week. The same kind of stories have been reported annually since his switch to Channel 4 from ITV in 2006.

The comments were made during a commercial break and were not aired by the broadcaster who have made no comment on the speculation The Paul O’Grady Show would be coming to an end in 2009.

Paul commenting on the press articles said they were “A load of old s**t” and promised some ‘big’ changes to the programme when it returns for its next series later in the year.
