ABC Cancel Life on Mars

ABCThe American version of Life on Mars has been cancelled by ABC but the network will allow production to continue on the series so it can complete its full run.

ABCABC has cancelled its remake of Life on Mars due to dwindling ratings but the Network, in an unusual move, will allow production on the series to continue so it can complete its run. This will allow producers to wrap up the series fully knowing that no second season will follow. There are five more episodes left out of the 17 ordered by ABC.

The British series of Life on Mars ran for two seasons before producers decided to wrap things up but a spin-off, set in the 1980s, followed and Ashes to Ashes returns for its second season in the UK later this year. With the cancellation of Life on Mars in America its highly unlikely Ashes to Ashes will get an American remake.
