Scissorhands Axed!

BBCBBC Three charity series Celebrity Scissorhands has been axed leaving the BBC looking for a new “channel-defining” programme.

BBC Three has axed its reality television series Celebrity Scissorhands. The series, which raised money for Children In Need, saw a group of celebrities work in saloon and ran from 2006 to 2008 but bbcthe axe has now fallen on the series. Instead the BBC are looking for a new “channel-defining” programme for the Autumn and are taking submissions from producers on possible new formats. The channel is believed to be interested in real “world scenarios” rather than Big Brother style programmes and doesn’t want celebrity style shows unless real A-list celebrities are guaranteed. Reality shows have a tendency to be populated with fading celebrities who are desperate to re-launch there flagging careers or “celebrities” the majority of the public have barely heard off.
