Jane Asher returning to Holby
Actress Jane Asher will reportedly return to medical drama Holby City later this year.
Jane Asher will reprise her role of Lady Anne-Marie Byrne in BBC One’s medical drama Holby City. According to reports Jane Asher will return to the medical drama later this year for the wedding of her on-screen son Joseph Byrne [Luke Roberts]. Jane Asher played the recurring role of Lady Byrne during 2007 but in 2008 she became a regular character for three months when Lady Byrne took over the running of Byrne Foundation. During this three month stint Lady Byrne and Elliot Hope [Paul Bradley] danced around having a relationship but eventually decided not to. Lady Byrne was last seen quitting as head of the Byrne Foundation to go on a cruise.
Since leaving Holby City in 2008 actress Jane Asher appeared in Maestro, the BBC Two talent show in which celebrity contestants had to learn how to conduct an orchestra. Asher also appeared in BBC One sitcom The Old Guys alongside Roger Lloyd-Pack and Clive Swift.
