Veteran actress June Whitfield could be guest-starring in Doctor Who according to rumours.

Veteran comic actress June Whitfield could be guest-starring in one of this years’ specials of Doctor Who. According to rumours the actress has been spotted filming in Cardiff alongside 10^th Doctor actor David Tennant although there’s no hints as to whom the actress may be playing. June Whitfield is probably best known for her several Carry On films as well as comedies such as Terry and June, Absolutely Fabulous, The Green Green Grass and Last of the Summer Wine. More serious roles include guest appearances in New Tricks, Miss Marple, Harley Street, Midsomer Murders, The Royal and The Afternoon Play. As yet there’s been no confirmation on Whitfield’s casting in the series but the BBC is likely to keep details of guest-stars secret until the last possible minute.
