Former Bad Girl for Doctor Who

Bad GirlsFormer Bad Girls actress Sharon Duncan Brewster will guest-star in the next Doctor Who special.

It’s been announced in the Doctor Who Magazine that former Bad Girl’s star Sharon Duncan Bad GirlsBrewster will guest-star in the next Doctor Who special. The actress will appear alongside confirmed guest-star Lindsay Duncan in the special due to air sometime in the autumn – it has yet to be officially named by producers. While the actress’ role in the special hasn’t been named producer Nikki Wilson told the Doctor Who Magazine she would “make a vital contribution”. The actress played shoplifter and Christian Crystal Gordon in the first four seasons of ITV prison drama, Bad Girls.

Sharon Duncan Brewster left Bad Girls at the end of its fourth season in 2002 and has since gone on to appear in Babyfather, Holby City, Waking the Dead and daytime soap Doctors. More recently she has been seen in several episodes of EastEnders as the recurring character of Trina Johnson. The actress isn’t the only former Bad Girls star to be guest-starring in Doctor Who. In Saturday’s Easter Special, Planet of the Dead, will feature, amongst others, Victoria Alcock in a guest role. The actress played Julie Saunders in all eight seasons of Bad Girls.
