Former Neighbours actor for Doctor Who
Former Neighbours and Queer as Folk actor Peter O’Brien will guest-star in one of the Doctor Who specials.
It’s been confirmed that former Neighbours and Queer as Folk actor Peter O’Brien will guest-star in the next special of Doctor Who. O’Brien will appear alongside confirmed guest-stars Lindsay Duncan and Sharon Duncan Brewster in the yet unnamed special – due to air sometime in the autumn. The news was announced in the Doctor Who Magazine where Russell T. Davies confirmed O’Brien’s appearance in the series. The actor’s role in the special has not been announced.
Peter O’Brien played Shane Ramsey in Neighbours for three years between 1985 and 1987. He has worked extensively on Australian and British television appearing in Aussie dramas such as Water Rats, The Flying Doctors, All Saints and White Collar Blue. In the UK he’s appeared in extended guest stints in Casualty and The Bill and played Doctor Cameron Roberts in the first season of Queer as Folk – which was written by Russell T.Davies.
