Tim Vine To Appear In Neighbours
Comedian Tim Vine has filmed a cameo appearance in Aussie soap Neighbours.
Currently in Australia for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Vine stopped by the Neighbours studios on Monday to film the brief cameo role and described it as a “dream come true.”
“Mum and dad are absolutely huge fans of the show, so I’m hoping they’ll just be watching it one day and I’ll suddenly pop up. They’ll fall forwards off their armchairs if they see me on it.” – Vine speaking to the Herald Sun.
Vine is known in the UK for his roles in sit-com Not Going Out and The Sketch Show.
Speaking of his character in the Aussie soap, he said “They made me stand under this huge Lassiter’s sign and then I had to get up and ask Elle for directions to the hotel.”
Vine follows in the footsteps of a string of guest stars to have cameo roles in the soap such as violinist Andre Rieu, WWE wrestler Dave Baustista, indie band The Wombats and Little Britain stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
