New Knight Rider to come to the UK
The new series of Knight Rider will air on UK television even though the future of the revived show is bleak and many expect NBC to cancel the series.
The revived Knight Rider will air in the UK as the Sci Fi Channel have acquired the rights to air the series. The channel has brought the rights to the pilot episode and the weekly series which followed. However, the future of the series in America looks bleak for the new series after several revamps across the course of its first series failed to lift ratings and then broadcaster NBC reduced its original episode order for the series. Many insiders expect the revived series to be cancelled by the network due to disappointing ratings.
Knight Rider will begin airing on the UK version of the Sci Fi Channel next month. The channel also recently acquired the rights to another troubled American series, Dollhouse. Joss Whedon’s new series has also suffered from disappointing ratings and broadcaster Fox have yet to commission additional episodes.
