Sky Wants Harry Hill

SkySky One is reportedly trying to snatch away Harry Hill’s TV Burp from ITV1. The Saturday evening satirical show is a popular fixture of the ITV schedules and would be a big blow to the struggling broadcaster should Sky be successful in their poaching attempt.

Sky Sky One is reportedly trying to lure away Harry Hill’s TV Burp from struggling broadcaster ITV1. According to media reports the digital channel has made a bid to the producers of the show, Avalon Television. The satirical show is a popular fixture of the Saturday evening schedules on ITV1 and has was won three Bafta’s. It has consistently pulled in the ratings for the struggling broadcaster and if Sky One were to poach the series it would be a big blow to ITV.

According to ITV the show is secured with the broadcaster until the end of this year. Recently Sky One acquired the UK rights to air American drama House, the drama having so far aired on Five. Sky also poached Prison Break and Lost from other broadcasters and reportedly tried to lure Desperate Housewives and Gavin and Stacey away from their respective broadcasters too.
