A Coronation Street character will be left fighting for her life after a blood clot kills her unborn baby.

According to tabloid newspaper The Sun, Coronation Street character, Claire Peacock will be left fighting for her life after her unborn and secret child dies from a blood clot. After weeks of arguments with Ashley, Claire collapses at work and is rushed to hospital. There Doctors inform Claire she has miscarried – but devastated Ashley didn’t even know his wife was pregnant again. The news is even worse for the couple when the Doctors tell Claire she too could die, from a blood clot.
The dramatic storyline will air this summer and will be another blow for the struggling couple who haven’t exactly had it easy since they got together. From Claire’s post-natal depression, to the fire at the house, Fred’s death and Claire’s barmy friend splitting the couple up for a short while their marriage has never been a smooth ride.
