X-FactorFans of The X-Factor have not taken well to the shows revamped format according to both The Sun and The Mirror. The tabloid newspapers are using quotes from various internet forums to demonstrate that fans haven’t taken kindly to the altered process of auditions. This year auditions are not only held in front of the Judges Panel but also in front of a live audience who mostly boo and jeer at the poor unfortunates who aren’t exactly blessed with voices of angels. The format is similar to fellow Simon Cowell/ITV series Britain’s Got Talent.

The titan reality tv series returned to ITV on Saturday night with nearly ten million viewers which was slightly down on last years’ opening instalment. However, if fans remain unhappy with the new format its possible they may switch off in protest. Simon Cowell has stated that if the revamp doesn’t take off for fans he’ll personally take the blame.
