Another Bill Star Quits
Another actor on ITV’s police drama series The Bill has quit to concentrate on other projects. Former Hollyoaks actress Ali Bastian has left the series ahead of her appearance in the new series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Bastian has already filmed her final scenes for the long-running drama, having played the role of PC Sally Armstrong since 2007, fresh from her role in teen-soap Hollyoaks.
Bastian is one of the contestants in this years series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside other actors such as Zoe Lucker, Natalie Cassidy, Lynda Bellingham, Ricky Whittle and Laila Rouass. The next series is due to launch on BBC One next week and Bastian has revealed she’s been training hard for the celebrity dancing contest.
The actress isn’t the only Bill star to have quit the drama since it was revamped and re-launched as a post-watershed drama. Gary Lucy, who also appeared in teen-drama Hollyoaks, quit the drama earlier this year.
