Corrie Recast Nick Tilsley
Ben Price has signed up to appear in the ITV Granada production.
Coronation Street has announced who will take over the role of Nick Tilsley from previous actor Adam Rickitt. Casualty and Footballers Wives actor Ben Price is the new Nick Tilsley and will be seen on-screen from Christmas.
It’s been announced who will be the new face of Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street. Producers announced earlier this year they were once again recasting the role as the previous actor Adam Rickitt was not returning to the ITV soap. It’s not the first time the character has been recast and in fact all of Gail Platt’s [Helen Worth] children in the soap have been recast at some point. Warren Jackson played Nick Tilsley during his youngest years through to being a teen.

The new face of Nick has been revealed as being actor Ben Price who will make his first on-screen appearance around Christmas time. The actor is probably best known to ITV viewers for his role in Footballers Wives. The actor played bisexual footballer Conrad Gates in two seasons of the camp drama series before being killed off in the series four finale. After leaving the drama he joined the cast of Casualty as Nathan Spencer between 2005 and 2007. Most recently he appeared in an episode of BBC Two’s historical drama The Tudors.
The return of Nick Tilsley to Weatherfield will cause fireworks for his family and former flames such as Leanne Battersby and Maria Connor. While Gail might be happy at first to see her oldest son back on the cobbles of the street it won’t be long before Nick is up to mischief.
