ITV ‘Revives’ Talking Telephone Numbers

According to media reports the ITV network is planning on reviving its old 1990s game show Talking Telephone Numbers as a bigger budget live primetime variety show. Renamed Magic Numbers the show follows, according to its description, the exact same variety style format of the original series which was hosted by Phillip Schofield and Emma Forbes.

The new version sees former CITV presenter Stephen Mulhern host the hour long show which will feature the number games, variety and music performances and Game For A Laugh style pranks.

As with Talking Telephone Numbers the new series follows the exact same format, where at the end of the number games a single digit ends that round. Viewers write these numbers down and once two numbers from the last six digits of their telephone number appear they can call in live to take part in the final round.

As with the previous series’ Magic Numbers will be produced by independent production company Celador, now branded CPL. The only other major change is better prize money in the new series, up to £250,000.
