The Queen climbs back to 2 million
The final episode of Channel Four’s docu-drama The Queen managed to claw back viewers last night while the second episode of BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey lost viewers.
The final episode of The Queen managed to regain viewers last night. The final instalment of the Channel Four docu-drama series examined the days leading up to the Monarch’s acceptance of Camilla Parker-Bowles. Actress Diana Quick was the final actress to portray the monarch and the episode pulled in 2 million viewers at 9pm – up over the past few episodes which had dropped below the 2 million mark. Meanwhile BBC One comedy Gavin and Stacey lost well over half a million viewers from last week’s opening instalment. Overnight figures reveal that just under 5 million viewers were watching. Over on ITV1 and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! pulled in 8.3 million viewers.
