American soap All My Children has hired two new head-writers, David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski and they have promised to bring “new ideas” to the series which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. The soap also recently moved filming from New York to Los Angeles in its biggest shake up in the history of the show. The move was to allow the ABC soap to move into bigger studios and to shake new life into the soap which, like its rivals and counterparts, is struggling with ratings.
David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski are no strangers to the world of soap having previously collaborated together on the now defunct CBS soap Guiding Light for which in 2007 they won a Daytime Emmy. Swajeski has also previously worked on All My Children before working closely alongside its creator Agnes Nixon. In 1988 she quit to work on Another World and in 1997 she started work on Guiding Light.
