Being Human duo set to launch Indie company

 

bbcBeing Human duo Toby Whithouse and Matthew Bouch are set to launch their own production company and already have a number of projects in development with the BBC.

 

 

bbcAccording to Broadcast Being Human duo Toby Whithouse and Matthew Bouch are poised to launch their own independent production company. Whithouse currently writers for Being Human while Bouch is the producer on the hit BBC Three Supernatural series which is currently produced for the channel by Touchpaper Television, part of the RDF Media Group. However, the duo could launch their own production company before the coming Easter.

 

The proposed new company, Scoundrel, will develop any six projects at one time with both acting as Show-runners on the projects with Whithouse developing some of the scripts for the proposed drama’s – but they will work with other writers. The duo already have at least six dramas in development including two with the BBC. One project, Orphans, is being backed by BBC Scotland’s Anne Mensah and revolves around a group of desperate superheroes. A second product in development with the BBC has been developed with Rachel Anthony, co creator of BBC One drama Mistresses. The drama is set in 1960s Ladbroke Grove and charters the break down of “Victorian morality”. The drama is being developed for BBC Two.
