Five Days drops against Football
BBC One’s stripped drama Five Days dropped ratings last night as it clashed with Football action on ITV1.
BBC One’s powerful drama Five Days continued to rate well for the channel last night but did see another drop in ratings as it clashed against Football on ITV1. The five-part drama starring Anne Reid and Suranne Jones pulled in 6 million viewers – down on the 6.7 million who tuned in on Tuesday evening and down on the 7.4 million who watched Monday’s opening instalment. However, last night it faced tough competition in the form of Football coverage on ITV1 which attracted 7.8 million viewers.
Elsewhere Masterchef had 3.6 million viewers, Desperate Housewives dropped down to 1.1 million viewers and Relocation, Relocation had 2.5 million viewers. Soapwise and Emmerdale was the only prime-time soap to air last night and it had 7.5 million viewers. Daytime soap Doctors had 1.9 million viewers for BBC One at 1.45pm and Hollyoaks had 1.4 million for Channel Four at 6.30pm.
