Lesbian plot for Desperate Housewives

 

American drama/comedy series Desperate Housewives will feature a lesbian storyline in upcoming episodes. While the ABC series has previously tackled gay relationships it’s the first time the drama will feature a lesbian relationship.

 

ABC drama Desperate Housewives is to feature a lesbian plot in upcoming episodes of the series. According to reports the character of Katherine Mayfair [Dana Delany] will be seduced by her new flat-mate Robin [Julie Benz]. The storyline kicks off when Katherine discovers Robin is a stripper and the pair go out pretending to be lesbians but it develops further when Katherine starts to dream about sleeping with Robin – eventually the pair do end up in bed.

 

While Desperate Housewives have had a number of gay afters over the course of its run this will be the first time the drama seriously tackles a lesbian plot. Last year the characters of Gabrielle [Eva Longoria] and Susan [Teri Hatcher] did kiss but this was not a serious lesbian lock of the lips – just a ruse. Actress Julie Benz, best known for her roles in Angel and Dexter, is just one of several guest-stars lined up to spice up Desperate Housewives with openly gay actor John Barrowman also joining the drama for at least five episodes as a new villain.
