A Touch of Frost finale tops 8 million viewers

The figure is 1 million up on those who tuned in for the first-part of the finale on Sunday evening.

 

David JasonAccording to overnight figures the final of ITV detective drama A Touch of Frost topped 8 million viewers last night as David Jason reprised his role of Inspector Jack Frost for the final time. The first part of the final opened on Sunday evening with 7.2 million viewers but early figures for last night reveal that 1.1 million MORE viewers tuned in last night to see David Jason bow out of the role. A Touch of Frost was seen by 8.3 million viewers which represent its best performance in 3 years. The drama peaked at 8.8 million in the first half hour of the drama.

 

Elsewhere last night the latest series of University Challenge with 3.4 million for the final at 8pm while later on BBC Two the entire first season of comedy Extras was repeated with an average audience of 1 million for each repeat. Flashforward on Five had 1.3 million viewers at 9pm while Channel Four had 2.2 million for Comedy Gala.
