Bruce Jones has been handed a suspended jail sentence for dangerous driving.
The actor, best known for his role as Weatherfield cabbie Les Battersby, pleaded guilty to the charge at Mold Crown Court last month.
Jones drunkenly tried to crash a Mercedes in August of last year; commandeering the wheel of the vehicle as it was being driven down the A55 in Flintshire by his wife Sandra.
He was back in court today to face the consequences of his actions where he was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months.
Jones also received a driving ban for 18 months and has been hit with £1,000 in court fees. Additionally, he must do 100 hours unpaid work and complete a 12-month supervision order.
The ex soap star is currently on a rehab programme after admitting to excessive boozing.
