Ashes to Ashes returned with 5.5 million viewers

Ashes to AshesThe final season of the 1980s based cop-drama Ashes to Ashes, a spin-off from Life on Mars, launched on Good Friday with 5.5 million viewers.

 

Ashes to AshesGood Friday saw the premier of the third and final season of Ashes to Ashes, the 1980s based cop-drama which is a sequel/spin-off to Life on Mars. The cop-drama stars Philip Glenister and Keeley Hawes and opened on Friday evening, a new slot for the drama, with 5.5 million viewers. The first season of Ashes to Ashes aired on Thursday evenings on BBC One while it’s second moved to Monday evenings – Friday’s figure represents the lowest season debut for the drama. It opened in 2008 with 7 million viewers while the 2009 series was seen by 7.1 million viewers.

 

Elsewhere on Friday evening ITV’s new game-show, The Door, hosted by Chris Tarrant and Amanda Holden, had just 3.6 million viewers while on Five US import The Mentalist had 1.7 million viewers. Embarrassing Bodies on Channel Four had 2 million viewers while BBC Two documentary Indian Hill Railways had 1.9 million viewers.
