Latin-Grammy winning singer Daddy Yankee is to appear in several episodes of CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful this summer. The singer will perform several of his hits including the television premier of his new single ‘Que Es La Que’. Daddy Yankee has sold more than 8 million albums since 2002 and has won Grammy awards as well for his music. “The story takes place during a raucous party full of young people who are ready to take a break from the scholarly pursuits of high school. We conceived it as a modern urban take on a masquerade ball. Daddy Yankee’s hypnotic thump is the perfect intoxicating elixir to entice some of the characters into doing things they might not ordinarily do. The consequences for the Forrester family will be devastating, leading to some of the series’ most dramatic situations yet.” – Bradley P. Bell, B&B executive producer and head writer quoted on Soap Central.
The Bold and the Beautiful is the only American soap to simulcast in English and Spanish and is thought to be the most watched soap in the world. In the UK episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful air on Diva TV although the episodes currently being broadcast are from 2008.
