The BBC is reportedly considering ordering a series of the Only Fools and Horses prequel Rock and Chips which aired on BBC One last year as a one-off special but attracted strong ratings. The prequel was written by John Sullivan who created Only Fools and Horses as well as the spin-off series The Green Green Grass – which the BBC cancelled last year. Chips and Rock was set in the 1960s and followed the antics of a young Del [James Buckley] and his parents.

According to actor James Buckley writer John Sullivan has been approached by the BBC about turning Chips and Rock into a series. The actor claims that six one-hour episodes are currently being written by Sullivan. Also starring in the one-off special was actor Nicholas Lyndhurst who, of course, played Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses.
