Actor Charlie Sheen has signed a new deal to remain on CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. The news ends reports that the actor wanted to quit the series which would have placed its future in very uncertain territory. Sheen has signed a new two year deal which means the sitcom will be back for another season.

“To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind speculation, I’m looking forward to returning to my CBS home on Monday nights. I want to thank CBS Corp. president and CEO Les Moonves for his support.” – Statement by Charlie Sheen’s publicist.

Reports surfaced last month that Sheen was prepared to quit the series if he didn’t get $2million per episode for returning. The actual deal between Sheen and Warner Brothers to get the actor to return to Two and a Half Men isn’t known.
