Broadcaster ABC is to air classic episodes of its daytime soaps General Hospital, All My Children and One Life to Live following demand by fans. The move comes following the broadcasters series of special ‘What If…’ crossover episodes between the three stories which have teased fans with potential possibilities but also twanged on nostalgia factor – crossover stories have featured in the three soaps before.

“Fans have often expressed the desire to see their favorite episodes of our soaps. And beginning on August 10th, in conjunction with Brenda Barrett returning to General Hospital, ABC Daytime will eventize the moment and air three episodes featuring the men (Sonny, Jax and Jason) in Brenda’s life.” – ABC spokesperson talking to soap central.com

The repeats of classic episodes will start with medical drama General Hospital as it celebrates the return of actress Vanessa Marcil, to reprise her role of Brenda, to the soap. They’ll be a three hour ‘Brendathon’ featuring classic and important episodes for the character of Brenda stretching back to 1996. Following this, throughout the year, All My Children and fellow soap One Life to Live with also be treated to classic episodes being repeated on ABC. There are, however, no details on which episodes of the two soaps may be repeated and when in the year fans can look forward to seeing them.
