Kristoff St. John denies he’s leaving The Young and the Restless
Actor Kristoff St. John denies he’s leaving CBS soap The Young and the Restless following media reports he had quit the daytime drama to focus on other projects.
Is he leaving? Is he not? That’s the question Young and the Restless fans may be asking in regards to actor Kristoff St. John – who plays Neil Winters in the top-rated CBS soap. Media reports claim that St. John has quit the soap, after 19 years in the role, to focus on other projects including a pilot episode for a new comedy series. However, the actor himself has come out and denied reports he is planning to leave The Young and the Restless.
“As of right now, today, I am not leaving The Young and The Restless, I love my daytime home and treasure it. I love all of you and thank you for your beautiful support.” – Kristoff St. John on his Facebook page.
If rumours regarding the comedy pilot are true its possible that the actor will merely take a break from The Young and the Restless to film it before returning to the soap – or may drop down to recurring status for the same reasons. The actor took a break from the soap last year but has been with the soap since 1991 and has won two Daytime Emmys; Outstanding Younger actor in 1992 and Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2008.
