DirecTV will pick up Damages

It’s been announced that DirecTV will pick up the critically acclaimed Glenn Close drama Damages following months of talks between the company and Sony Pictures Televisions.

After months of negotiations its finally been revealed that Damages will return thanks to a deal between DirecTV and Sony Pictures Television. The critically acclaimed but low rated drama, starring Glenn Close, looked set to be axed from FX but Sony and fans were hopeful of taking the series to DirecTV. However, to begin with it didn’t look too promising and there was much speculation that the talks between the two sides would come to nothing. However, DirecTV has saved struggling shows before – such as NBC’S Friday Night Lights. Now fans of Damages can breath a sigh of relief because the drama will return for another season. However, the catch is that it’ll only air on DirecTV – no repeats on FX. Damages has been renewed under the deal for two more seasons.
