Andrea Bowen not returning to Desperate Housewives

Actress Andrea Bowen, who plays Julie Mayer, will not be returning to Desperate Housewives for its seventh season according to Entertainment Weekly.

 

Actress Andrea Bowen, who plays Julie Mayer, will not be returning to Desperate Housewives for its seventh season according to Entertainment Weekly. The character returned to Wisteria Lane, following an absence, at the end of series five and rejoined the cast as a regular in its sixth season. However, during the course of Desperate Housewives sixth season the character of Julie Mayer was attacked by the Fairview strangler. Although Julie survived the attack the character was later written out of the drama. According to Entertainment Weekly the actress won’t be returning to Desperate Housewives for its 7^th season.

 

The seventh season of Desperate Housewives will see the departure of Kyle MacLachlan as Orson Hodge – the actor has been in the soapy/drama since its second season. However, joining the cast will be Vanessa Williams and Brian Austin Green while actress Harriet Sansom Harris will reprise her role of Felicia Tilman, last seen in the second season.
