Celebrity MasterChef beats Midsomer Murders
Celebrity MasterChef on BBC One won the 8pm slot on Wednesday evening against another repeat of Midsomer Murders on ITV1. Meanwhile Katie Price’s wedding to Alex Reid on ITV2 had over 1 million viewers.
Celebrity Masterchef returned to BBC One last night and proved to be popular with audiences. According to ratings for Wednesday evening the cookery show was seen by 4.7 million viewers at 8pm beating yet another repeat of Midsomer Murders on ITV1. The repeat of the bonkers murder series had 4 million viewers. Earlier in the evening magazine programme The One Show had 3.5 million viewers for BBC One against 6 million viewers for Emmerdale on ITV1. Traffic Cops at 9pm on BBC One had 3.7 million viewers while Channel Four’s My Weird and Wonderful Family had 1.6 million viewers at the same time. The latest action from the Big Brother house had 1.8 million at 10pm for the broadcaster.
Elsewhere Dragon’s Den had 3 million viewers for BBC Two at 9pm. Over on ITV2 at the same time was the latest reality television series featuring former glamour model Katie Price, also known as Jordan. Price’s wedding to Alex Reid was shown on the channel in Katie & Alex: For Better For Worse which had 1.3 million viewers for ITV2. Price recently signed a new deal with Living in which she’ll defect to the channel to present and produce new shows.
