Roo Stewart to return to Home and Away

 

It’s being reported that Home and Away bosses are bringing back the character of Roo Stewart, the daughter of Alf Stewart, to Summer Bay. The character was part of the original cast in 1988 when the Australian soap launched but left in 1989 when actress Justine Clarke quite the series.

 

It’s being reported that Home & Away bosses are bringing back the character of Roo Stewart, the daughter of Alf Stewart, to Summer Bay. According to Back to the Bay the character of Ruth ‘Roo’ Stewart will be written back into the soap later this year. Roo is the daughter of original cast member Alf Stewart and was part of the cast of Home and Away when the soap launched in 1988. However, in 1989 actress Justine Clarke quit and over the years despite offers by various producers to reprise the role has stated she does not wish to go back.

Rumours about bosses bringing the character back to Summer Bay have cropped up several times over the years. However, it seems this time though the character really will be heading back to Home & Away – but with a new face. Actress Justine Clarke will not be reprising the role instead Georgie Parker has been cast. The actress will be familiar to Australian audiences for her roles in A Country Practice and All Saints. Parker will make her on-screen debut as Roo shortly before the 2010 season cliff-hanger.
