Actress Stacy Haiduk has been dropped by NBC soap Days of our Lives for a planned guest stint before she her character has even made it to screen! The actress has been let go from the role reportedly because of schedule conflicts with Haiduk’s appearance on new Fox series Ride-Along. The actress claimed on her Facebook that while Fox tried to accommodate the schedule of Days when they pushed filming back by a week Days dropped her when one day was still a problem.

“For all you guys out there who were all set to watch me on DAYS I have some bad news,. DAYS has dropped me. It all started when I booked a guest spot on a new show for FOX, Ride-Along. The show will shoot in Chicago and I have to leave town for that. There was a conflict in scheduling so FOX pushed me to their second week. But when ONE day was still in conflict, instead of working things out DAYS decided to drop me.” – Stacy Haiduk

The actress was due to join Days of our Lives as a prison warden for an extended guest-sting. Her role in the NBC daytime soap came hot after her dismissal from the CBS soap The Young and the Restless. Haiduk played the dual roles of Emily Petersen and Patty Williams in the soap and was at the centre of its storylines for several months. In a shock move though the soap decided to let the actress go and speculation was it was due to some fans being unhappy with the storylines involving her characters.

Days of our Lives have not yet confirmed Haiduk’s departure from the series.
