ITV has hired Sharon Powers, creative director of Big Brother, to become the new executive producer for the daytime chat-show Loose Women. The topical chat-show is currently produced by Karl Newton but the producer moved over to the re-vamped This Morning earlier this year and has only carried on his role on Loose Women in a temporary capacity. Powers has been the creative director for Big Brother for the past six years and previously worked as a commissioning editor for Channel Four. Big Brother is due to end its 11 year run on Channel Four shortly but rumour has it that new Five owner Richard Desmond is keen to secure the reality series in a bid to boost ratings for his new business.
