Actress Su Pollard has landed a cameo role in ITV’s comedy series Benidorm. The actress revealed on This Morning that she would appear in the next series of the popular comedy series – as herself. Pollard is best remembered for her role of Peggy Ollerenshaw in the 1980s BBC comedy series Hi-De-Hi.
“I’m going as myself and I’m singing at the Benidorm Palace doing cabaret and everything goes wrong! It’ll be really funny.” – Su Pollard on This Morning.
Pollard went on to tell hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that she’d love roles in EastEnders and Coronation Street as well – and wants to be the first female Doctor in Doctor Who! ITV has renewed Benidorm for a Christmas Special and a fourth series but actor Johnny Vegas will reportedly not be featuring in it. Other reports claim that Windsor Davies will join the cast and that a live episode is on the cards.
