Olly Murs debuts at Number 1

Olly Murs - ITVX Factor runner up Olly Murs has gone straight to Number One in the UK singles chart with his debut single Please Don’t Let Me Go. Midweek sales figures revealed that the singer was on course to top the charts beating Katy Pretty’s Teenage Dream. The X Factor runner up, who featured in last year’s contest but lost out to Joe McElderry, promised the readers of Heat magazine he would pose naked for a photo shoot if he scored a number 1. Towards the end of last week Murs confirmed he intended to keep his promise as Please Don’t Let Me Go headed towards the Number 1 slot.

 

Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream came in second while last week’s Number 1, Taio Cruz’ Dynamite dropped to third place in the UK Singles Chart. Eminem and Rihanna’s single Love The Way You Lie was fourth while Flo Rida featuring David Guetta single Club Can’t Handle Me was fifth.
