Monday Ratings: Drop in ratings for Bouquet of Barbed Wire

ITV’s remake of the 1970s drama Bouquet of Barbed Wire, starring Trevor Eve, saw a big drop in viewers last night. It was a strong night for the big three soaps with Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street all rating well.

The second week of Daybreak, the new ITV breakfast programme fronted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, saw 800,000 viewers tune in. Daybreak launched last Monday as a replacement for GMTV and nearly 1 million viewers tuned in but ratings dropped to 900,000 viewers on Tuesday. However, the ratings held steady across the week until Friday when they dipped to 800,000. By comparison BBC One’s Breakfast has consistently pulled in 1.4 million since the launch of Daybreak proving viewers are not being tempted away.
