Afghan death plot for Coronation Street

The current war storyline in Coronation Street will see one character being killed in Afghanistan, and the emotional effect afterwards according to a Sunday newspaper. (Contains spoilers)

The People newspaper have revealed that Quinny will die while saving his best mate Gary from a bomb in Afghanistan. The paper claims that Gary will battle with the emotional scars of what happened and the agony of going to tell Quinny’s parents.

In recent weeks we have seen Anna, Gary’s mum, coming to terms with her son joining the army and her worry that her son won’t come back alive from Afghanistan. An insider told The People newspaper “This will be harrowing stuff. The realities of war in Afghanistan will be vividly brought home to the viewers. We hope our portrayal of the war and its consequences will be realistic and sensitive at the same time.”
